Day 12 Summary (6/14)

Results- Group D
Chile def. Panama 4-2
Argentina def. Bolivia 3-0

Chile v Panama
Chile finally got a decent-sized win. Although their defense was not too sharp, Chile's offense exploded, scoring 4 times against Panama. Chile advances to the quarterfinals as the Group D runners-up, and they will face off against Mexico. As for Panama, their good start against Bolivia ended up meaning nothing, as they lost their next 2 matches and are going home early. They are, however, in decent shape for the World Cup qualification, so they hope to rebound their and perhaps qualify for the World Cup in 2018.

Argentina v Bolivia
With this win, Argentina becomes the only team to finish the group stage with 9 points in 3 matches. They are the clear favorites heading into the knockout round, and they open up against Venezuela, who probably won't give them too hard a time. As for Bolivia, they are going home without a single point. The only other teams that lost all their matches were Haiti and Jamaica. Bolivia must hope to rebound for the World Cup qualification, where they are second last in South America (above only Venezuela).
